Angels Among Us

Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?”      John 11:40 

The kingdom of God is within you.        Luke 17:21b 

If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.        2 Corinthians 5:17 

You are a brand new human being. The world in which you live is not a “normal” world anymore. You are now a multi-dimesional being. You are from the age to come.

Expect to be seeing the future because you have already been there. Prophecy is history waiting to happen.

No one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who acts on behalf of those who wait for him.    Isaiah 64:4       Paul quoted that verse in 1 Corinthians when he said “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived” — the things God has prepared for those who love Him.       1 Corinthians 2:9 

Did you get that? God has prepared amazing things for those of us who love Him. God is revealing something glorious in our generation.

We know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now.        Romans 8:22 

You have been joined with Christ. He is in you and You are in Him. You used to be married to sin. You are now married to Christ. We are joined with Christ. Now there is a brand new world moving about us.

He had a dream in which he saw a stairway resting on the earth, with its top reaching to heaven, and the angels of God were ascending and descending on it.      Genesis 28:12 

In John 1 Jesus alluded to this story about Jacob’s ladder when He said You will see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.        John 1:51 I.e., Jesus is the access point to the supernatural.

Lift up your heads, you gates; lift them up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.    Psalm 24:9 .  Christ is in you; you should therefore be a doorway. You should be a doorway to the angelic realm and the cloud of witnesses. What you have to say is, “Lord, open my eyes.”

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.        2 Corinthians 4:18 

For some Christians seeing angels is as normal as seeing other people. Divide and conquer works well for Satan. He has developed an apartheid. There is a large element in the church with a religious mindset that will not accept the angelic.

Angels have been allocated to work with us in multifaceted ways. Christians who do not accept the people who work with the angels are a bit like soldiers who go to war and ignore half of their army.

Some Christians have been taught that those who talk to angels are worshipping them. They have been taught that if we study them, we are getting in deception. The angel said to him, “I am Gabriel. I stand in the presence of God, and I have been sent to speak to you and to tell you this good news. And now you will be silent and not able to speak until the day this happens, because you did not believe my words , which will come true at their appointed time.”        Luke 1:19-20 

Contrast Zechariah’s attitude to Joseph: Because Joseph her husband was faithful to the law, and yet did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly. But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.”        Matthew 1:19-20 

When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.”        Luke 2:15 

The Sovereign LORD does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets.        Amos 3:7 

His Son … might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.    Romans 8:29  May we be among those many brothers and sisters. 
Whoever believes in Me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these.        John 14:12 

He was in the wilderness forty days, being tempted by Satan. He was with the wild animals, and angels attended him. Mark 1:13 Some Christians say that we do not need angels to help us. They helped Jesus, why not us?

He will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.    Psalm 91:11    When we were conceived, an angel was assigned to help us. The angel is with us our whole life. What if another human were with you your whole life and you never talked to him?

Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth.   Colossians 3:2  So, develop a relationship with your angel. Give him a name. Ask him questions.

Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.       Hebrews 11:1 

I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.    John 10:10b     I.e., God wants us to have an abundant life. You can discuss things with your angel.

“I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me comes one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.   Matthew 3:11      They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them.   Acts 1:3      The tongues of fire were angels.     I.e., on the day of Pentecost the Christians got baptized with the Holy Spirit AND with the angelic.

When she recognized Peter’s voice, she was so overjoyed she ran back without opening it and exclaimed, “Peter is at the door!” “You’re out of your mind,” they told her. When she kept insisting that it was so, they said, “It must be his angel. “   Acts 12:14-15       I.e., after the Day of Pentecost people were quite used to the idea of speaking about people’s individual angels.

Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.   Hebrews 13:2 .       It follows that some people have shown hospitality to angels and WERE aware of it.

We are about to come into a time of more angelic activity than ever before in history. At that time, the people who are relating with the angels will be marked by creative miracles and incredible signs.
