Spirit of Wisdom

Spirit of Wisdom — and 6 other spirits

And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD.  Isaiah 11:2

The Spirit of Wisdom is one of the seven spirits of God.  She holds a scepter that holds the power of the words of the Father.

Wisdom cries outside; she utters her voice in the streets.  Proverbs 1:20  Wisdom is feminine.  Three of the seven spirits of God are feminine in appearance.

Does not wisdom call? Does not understanding raise her voice?  Proverbs 8:1  Wisdom has a voice.

I, Wisdom, dwell with Prudence and find out knowledge of witty inventions.  Proverbs 8:12  Prudence is a being that is with the Spirit of Wisdom.  Unless you engage Wisdom, you will never find Prudence.  Prudence can give you witty inventions.

Pride, arrogance, the evil way and the wicked mouth I do hate.  Proverbs 8:13b  Unless you humble yourself, you cannot engage the Spirit of Wisdom.  Pride includes things like thinking you are better than someone else and thinking you have the right to gossip.

By Me kings reign and princes decree justiceProverbs 8:15  Justice implies that Wisdom helps princes judge.  (Christendom presently has a religious demon that says, “Don’t judge.”  See note #1 at the bottom of this page.)

I love those who love Me, and those who seek Me early will find Me.  Proverbs 8:17  You have to love Wisdom.  Love is a choice every day.  “Early” implies that you start with Wisdom and all sorts of things will be added.

Solomon started with Wisdom and then he greatly prospered.  (By the way, Solomon was clothed with amazing garments because Wisdom does not tolerate rubbish.)

Her desire is that you become Father’s daily delight like you were before you came to earth.  (You were in the Father before you were conceived.)

I can cause those who love Me to inherit substance and I shall fill their treasuries.  Proverbs 8:21.  God wants you to have money in the bank.

The Lord possessed Me in the beginning of His way, before His deeds of old.  Proverbs 8:22  “Possessed” means like a husband and wife.

I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.  Proverbs 8:23  I was there when He prepared the heavens.  Proverbs 8:27a  Wisdom existed before there was an earth.  She even existed before Jesus.

My delights are with the sons of menProverbs 8:31b  The same way God has adopted you, Wisdom has adopted you.  Her desire is that you become Father God’s daily delight as you were before you were conceived and came to earth.

Blessed is the man who hears Me, watching daily at My gates, waiting at the posts of My doors.  Proverbs 8:34  We should be beyond this life on earth.  We should go through the veil daily.

Whoever finds Me finds life and will obtain favor of the Lord.  Proverbs 8:35  To receive the greatest favor from the Lord, you must engage with Wisdom.

Wisdom has built her house; she has hewn out her seven pillars.  Proverbs 9:1  Wisdom has seven choice maidens who walk with Her:
♦ Promise
♦ Glory
♦ Holiness
♦ Truth
♦ Excellence
♦ Faith
♦ Life

  1. Note on “don’t judge”.   This is from the Benson Commentary:

Our Lord now proceeds to warn us against the chief hindrances of holiness. And how wisely does he begin with judging! Wherein all young converts are so apt to spend that zeal which is given them for better purposes. He must be understood as forbidding all rash and unfavourable judgments, whether of the characters of others in general, or of their actions in particular, glancing, probably, in these as also in some other expressions in this chapter, on the character of the Pharisees, who were very culpable on this head, as appears from divers passages in the gospels, such as Luke 18:9-14; Luke 16:14-15; John 7:47-49, (compare also Isaiah 65:5,) and their unjust censures of Christ. Our Lord’s words imply, Judge not those about you in a rigorous and severe manner; nor pass unnecessary or uncharitable censures upon them, as many of your countrymen are in the habit of doing: nay, judge not any man, without full, clear, and certain knowledge of the blameableness of his conduct, nor without absolute necessity, and a spirit of tender love. That ye be not judged — Yourselves with the like severity. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged — Of God and man. “If you judge charitably, making proper allowances for the frailties of your brethren, and are ready to pity and pardon their faults, God and man will deal with you in the same kind manner; but if you always put the worst construction on every thing that it will bear, and are not touched with the feeling of your brother’s infirmities, and show no mercy in the opinions you form of his character and actions, no mercy will be shown to you from any quarter; God will treat you as you deserve, in the just judgment he shall pass upon your actions, and the world will be sure to retaliate the injury.” — Macknight. And with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again — Awful words! So we may, as it were, choose for ourselves, whether God shall be severe or merciful to us. God and man will favour the candid and benevolent: but they must expect judgment without mercy, who have showed no mercy.

    ♦ Promise
