His Mountain My Mountain

Who rules over the “forces of evil in the heavenly places”?

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12   raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus   Eph. 2:6 In those two passages above, “in the heavenly places” are both referring to the same places.  Who is on your mountain?  Either the forces of evil are ruling or Christians are their ruler.  The choice to rule “in the heavenly places” is ours.

King of kings & Lord of lords

On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: king of kings and lord of lords.  Revelation 19:16.  “Lord of lords” implies that there will be many lesser lords. Transform our lowly body to be like His glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.   Philippians 3:21  We should be transformed to be like Jesus so that we can be those “lesser lords”.  We should rule over the forces of evil in the heavenly places.  Remember that we cannot become lords unless we are under the lordship of Jesus.

The mountains

Everything on earth is supposed to be a shadow of heaven.  Who may ascend the mountain of the LORD? Who may stand in his holy place?  Psalm 24:3

And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray  Matthew 14:23

In those two passages go into the mountain refers to going into a different dimension to be with the Lord.  If you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen.  Matthew 21:21

The above 3 passages are referring to two different mountains.  In the first two passages, the mountain is a realm of government in a spiritual dimension. In the third passage, the mountain represents the personal issues in your lives.  What is your problem?  Is it a financial problem, a health problem, a broken marriage…?  If you have faith and do not doubt, these problems can be resolved.

Enter His mountain and enter His rest

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.  Matthew 11:28  In other words, you can be in a place of complete tranquility in midst of chaos.   Since the promise of entering His rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be found to have fallen short of itHebrews 4:1   In other words, His rest is available to you.  Make sure you take advantage of this privilege.  Part of the secret of entering into His rest is having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

The kingdom

The kingdom of God is within you.  Luke 17:21b  Whenever you hear that verse, remember this: In order to have a kingdom, you have to have a king.  In order to be a king, you have to be in that place where Jesus is Lord over your life.  And this voice which came from heaven we heard when we were with Him in the holy mountain.  2 Peter 1:18    I.e., Jesus and some of the disciples went into the mountain of government in heaven.  They were in a different dimension. Rulership begins on the top of the mountain.  Before we can rule, we must dispossess anything that is ruling in our stead. The mountain is the dwelling place of the ruler.   The demonic can enter the realm of created light.  However, they cannot enter into the realm of creative light.

Five things that are important to engage the seat of government

1. Alinement.  You must bring yourself into alinement with the purposes of God for your life.  God wants you to be a co-king with the Lord.
2. Desire.  You have got to set your desire on the truth of your position.
3. Set yourself apart.  Be in the world but not of it.  Be an example of being a Christian without having to tell people that you are.
4. Surrender.  You have to push to enter.  Once you enter, you have to surrender to go higher.
5. Deal with sin in your life.  If you do not, there may be consequences for everyone and everything around us.
