Heavenly Minded to Become Very Good for the World

We represent heaven on earth

Some people will say, “You are so heavenly minded that you are no earthly good.”  Neville Johnson says that the very opposite is true.

Heaven was our home before we came into this world.  Our physical body was created on earth.  Our spirit is much, much older than our physical body.

Think about that paragraph and then think about the four Bible verses below.

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart.                                                                              Jeremiah 1:5a

We are citizens of heaven.   Philippians 3:20a

My kingdom is not of this world. … My kingdom is from another place.   John 18:36

We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors.  II Corinth. 5:20  On earth an ambassador is a person who goes to another country and represents the country from which he came.

We were sent from heaven to represent heaven on this planet.

Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth.   Col.3:2

The more we are aware of our heavenly citizenship, the more this world will lose its hold on you.  The more this world loses its hold on you, the more heavenly things will open up to you.

To become heavenly minded you must love

Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’  Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’  Matt.7:22-23

Have you ever wondered what the above passage means?  It implies that it’s not what you’ve done on earth that counts in eternity; it’s to what extent you’ve become like our Lord Jesus Christ.

What your role is in heaven thousands of years from now is determined by what you’ve become on earth.

People will want what we have

There will be difficult days ahead of us.  That’s how the harvest will be reaped.  When things get really tough, the people of the world will see us and wonder why we are so peaceful & happy.

They will want what we have.

The Lord told Neville Johnson that the norther lights would be going further south than they had in Neville’s lifetime.  The Lord said that the northern lights would represent the 7 spirits of God. (The spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD.  Isaiah 11:2)

That year the northern lights came as far south as the equator in some places.  In other words, God is about to do something great in his saints.

Before the Lord returns to earth, He will reveal Himself to His saints.

We must set our minds on heavenly things.
